March Dinner and a Diva

Join Capitol City Opera Company on Tuesday, March 19th, for Dinner and a Diva: a night of delicious food and performances from Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance. In addition to an evening of music, you’ll enjoy a gourmet four-course dinner with wine, featuring hors d’ oeuvres, fresh salad, choice of two gourmet entrees, decadent dessert, coffee/tea, and two glasses of wine, all for only $75 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar open at 6:15 p.m., and the dinner and show start promptly at 7:00 p.m.

“Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera is packed full of sentimental pirates, blundering policeman, absurd adventures and improbable paradoxes. Frederic, a pirate’s apprentice, falls head-over-heels in love with Mabel, the daughter of Major-General Stanley. Frederic is due to be released from his apprenticeship on his 21st birthday, but there’s a snag. Born on 29 February, Frederic discovers that he is technically still a youngster. Although very much in love, his dedication to duty is unshakeable. Can he find a way to live happily-ever-after with Mabel?”

Dinner and a Diva: The Pirates of Penzance is sponsored by Dody Morris.
